About the Author

Nina Shengold is more poetry fan than poet. Her work in other genres includes the novel Clearcut (Anchor Books, 2005); teleplays including the Writers Guild Award winner Labor of Love, starring Marcia Gay Harden, and Blind Spot, starring Joanne Woodward and Laura Linney; plays Homesteaders (Samuel French) and Finger Foods (Playscripts); and over fifty author profiles for Chronogram magazine, where she is books editor. She has edited twelve theatre anthologies for Viking Penguin and Vintage Books, and is artistic director of the Andrew Lloyd Webber-phobic Olivebridge theatre company Actors & Writers.
