Poets Marilyn McCabe and Marilyn McCabe will be the featured readers when the Woodstock Poetry Society & Festival meets at the Colony Cafe, 22 Rock City Road, on March 10, 2012. Note: WPS&F meetings are held the 2nd Saturday of every month.
The readings will be hosted by Woodstock area poet Phillip Levine. All meetings are free, open to the public, and include an open mike.
Bios:
Allen Livermore - Allen Livermore has published in Chronogram, Shingi, Heyday Magazine's Post-Art Project and Emerge Literary Journal. Also an accomplished jazz saxophonist and clarinetist, he has collaborated in live performance with "inventor" of the poetry slam Marc Smith and with Michael Gizzi and Clark Coolidge in a performance of Jack Kerouac's San Francisco Blues at the Spencertown Academy in 2000. He is a member of the Woodstock Poetry Society and lives in Columbia County, New York. allenlivermore.com/

Marilyn McCabe - Marilyn McCabe’s Perpetual Motion was chosen by judge Gray Jacobik for the Hilary Tham Capital Collection published by The Word Works, 2011, and her chapbook Rugged Means of Grace was published by Finishing Line Press, 2011. Three chapbooks produced in collaboration with poets Mary Sanders Shartle and Elaine Handley were awarded best poetry book prizes in 2006, 2007 and 2010 by the Adirondack Center for Writing. She earned an MFA in poetry at New England College.
